My name is Erin Kim (they/them), and I do a conjoint degree in Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Creative Arts and Industry: majoring in education, art history and design. My main interest in design is graphics, fashion, and animation. Go to the "ABOUT ME" page for more information about myself and my goals.

I am confident in the artistic side of design because I did Design and Visual Communication for five years and did Visual arts for my whole life. I recently discovered my capability in research and UX/UI when I entered university, so I would consider myself well-versed in most sectors. However, I have little experience and understanding in 3D modelling or any digital/technical aspects of design. I was apprehensive about taking this paper because I fear slowing down myself, peers or teachers because of my limited experience. However, as long as I am not judged, I am still open to learning new skills and techniques.

I don't have a preconceived plan because I have yet to explore my capability in this sector to know whether I could design a simple or complex design digitally within a limited timeframe (but also keeping in mind I have other assignments and jobs to do). This is why I plan on developing a schema as I go on my journey in DES241.

I don't expect to become the best digital designer after this DES241 paper, but I hope to learn something new and/or gain valuable insights this semester.
